Work-related stress in the hospital environment is a critical issue that affects both the health of workers and the quality of the services provided. At the Quito Military Hospital, pre-analytical area professionals face various sources of stress, such as work overload, pressure to obtain fast and accurate results, and a lack of adequate resources. This study aims to verify and analyze the stress factors affecting the workers in the pre- analytical area, as well as the impact of this stress on their job performance and personal well-being. The methodology used was qualitative, based on a review of existing literature on work-related stress in hospitals and its relationship with professional staff performance. The results indicate that work-related stress has significant effects on the physical and emotional health of workers, including conditions such as anxiety, exhaustion, and metabolic disorders. In addition, various intervention strategies were identified, such as workload redistribution, implementation of active breaks, and stress management training, which can help reduce stress levels in professionals in the pre- analytical area. Final recommendations include improving working conditions, encouraging emotional support, and promoting a healthier organizational culture. This study highlights the urgent need to adopt comprehensive strategies to address work- related stress and create a more efficient and healthier work environment at the Quito Military Hospital
