Abstract

emergency or natural disaster situation, with the objective of training, preventing, and equipping individuals to respond appropriately if such an event occurs. This academic article aims to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of emergency drills in primary educational institutions in the Canton of Arenillas for the year 2025. To develop this work, a bibliographic review of various databases will be conducted, with the primary source being the contributions of authors based on previously conducted studies.The methodology used follows a descriptive review approach with a mixed-methods focus, combining both quantitative and qualitative data. In order to achieve this, the technique of data systematization will be employed to develop a proper analysis of the collected information. The expected results focus on actively involving the educational community in preparation and response activities for emergencies within educational institutions. This approach aims to promote a safety culture that helps mitigate the impact of potential natural crises.In conclusion, the research determines that emergency drills in primary educational institutions have a positive impact on the preparedness of students in Arenillas. However, to improve their effectiveness, it is necessary to strengthen the organization of these drills, ensure proper planning, allocate sufficient resources, and encourage the active involvement of the entire educational community. These measures will help optimize the outcomes of the drills, ensuring that students are better prepared to respond appropriately and safely in the event of an emergency.
