The professional role of the teacher in the XXI century and the ontology of its pedagogical praxis are exposed to public measurement; with demands from a society that presses them to new responses to new demands, in the sense that their capacities, their ethical, social commitment and the search for more affective, fair and democratic educational practices, based on tenderness as an pedagogical essence, are stimulated in the integral formation of the students, who are constantly permeated by the axiology, in a permanent process of formation, justice and coexistence. The focus of the study focused on unveiling the axiological vision of teachers on the pedagogy of tenderness. The research was developed through the phenomenological, interpretive qualitative paradigm, which allowed the approach to the key informants, in order to show if there is a clear association between teaching based on the pedagogy of tenderness and the axiological vision from which it analyzes his practice and his critical reflection on it, in these times in which society deserves an educational approach in accordance with current social reality.
