Fire departments face extremely demanding operational requirements from both a physical and emotional standpoint, as they are constantly exposed to emergencies and work-related stress. These circumstances necessitate examining the relationship between leisure time, workload, and physical activity as factors influencing effectiveness and institutional well-being. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the relationship between behavioral patterns and management alternatives for improving the well-being and performance of the operational personnel of the Buena Fe Fire Department. The results indicate that optimizing the well-being of operational personnel requires a comprehensive strategy that considers the complexity of firefighters' work and integrates organizational, physical, and psychosocial aspects to strengthen health, performance, and the sustainability of the service. The conclusions demonstrate that the literature review reveals the occupational workload of the Buena Fe Fire Department's operational personnel to be multidimensional, encompassing emotional, cognitive, and physical demands that directly affect job performance and overall well-being.
