The Buena Fe Canton Fire Department recognizes the need to provide ambulance personnel with appropriate coveralls that meet the criteria for protection, stability, and comfort. This study aimed to analyze a functional coverall model that fulfills the service's technical and ergonomic requirements, thereby improving the safety and performance of its personnel. Among the most relevant findings, the study reveals that the uniform's deficiencies in terms of ergonomics, durability, safety, and mobility align with regulatory and theoretical standards. This highlights the need to develop specialized coveralls that provide adequate protection and meet high-performance parameters. The key conclusion is that providing paramedics in the Buena Fe Canton Fire Department with patented survival suits is a technical, ergonomic, and operational necessity that directly impacts the safety and performance of prehospital personnel.
