Abstract

The present research work is based on the study of accident reduction through the standardization of the safety process, in the behavior of the personnel of the Espindola fire department, whose purpose is to minimize risks and accidents, which implies the establishment of clear rules and protocols that the personnel must follow at all times, ensuring that all members of the fire department, act in a uniform and predictable manner in emergency situations. Therefore, initially a theoretical analysis was conducted to determine the risks that are exposed daily in various emergencies, this research is framed within the mixed approach because it is a process that allows searching, collecting, analyzing and interconnecting quantitative and qualitative data, in what corresponds to the quantitative part is executed in the investigation of the problem, This analysis included the classification of the different types of occupational hazards, as well as the identification of major accidents that may occur in the course of their work, through this research, the importance of implementing standardized safety strategies and efficient protocols to minimize risk was highlighted, likewise, the need for continuous training was emphasized, by means of Firefighters are exposed to a variety of risks that compromise their health and safety, both in the short and long term. risk prevention protects the health and well-being of firefighters and optimizes their performance in the daily fulfillment of their duties, improving their capacity to respond to emergencies in daily interventions, contributing to both their well-being and the safety of the community.
