Abstract

Workplace well-being has become a critical issue in contemporary management, given the rising levels of stress, dissatisfaction, and lack of motivation observed in today's work environments. The challenge lies in the fact that, despite improvements in physical and ergonomic conditions, issues related to mental health, active engagement, and organizational culture continue to persist. These factors significantly impact both productivity and employee commitment. This study aims to investigate the effect of strategies implemented to optimize working conditions on the well-being of employees at Pollos Campero Quito. To conduct this research, a quantitative approach was employed through a cross-sectional survey administered to a random sample of 32 employees holding various roles, during October 2025. The questionnaire was developed based on the Blanch model, examining areas such as physical, mental, and social well-being, the work environment, professional development, and existing programs. The findings revealed that, although physical and ergonomic aspects received high satisfaction ratings, issues related to mental health and participation in wellness initiatives had acceptance levels ranging from moderate to low, with a noticeable disparity. This phenomenon indicates that physical improvements alone do not guarantee overall well-being; emotional and social aspects require greater attention. Additionally, the study demonstrated that while current strategies are effective in certain areas, they still fall short of comprehensively addressing emotional balance and psychological safety. In conclusion, it is clear that a holistic approach is necessary to enhance employee well-being effectively. Organizations must focus not only on physical working conditions but also on fostering a supportive culture that promotes mental health, active engagement, and emotional resilience among staff. Only through integrated strategies can workplaces truly improve employee satisfaction, commitment, and overall organizational health.
