on optimizing the use of personal protective equipment, PPE, by the technical personnel of the UAV Naval Air Squadron. A methodology based on a documentary review of international standards and a Design-Based Research approach was applied, allowing the proposal to be adapted to the specific operational conditions of the aeronautical environment. Physical, chemical, ergonomic, and organizational risks present in hangars were identified and classified, showing that exposure to high noise levels, hazardous substances, forced postures, and work-related fatigue represented significant threats to the safety of technical personnel. Preventive measures were structured, including periodic training, mandatory and supervised use of appropriate PPE according to each risk, and the implementation of operational control systems for critical tasks. Additionally, a system of semi-annual internal audits, continuous supervision, and personnel participation in the improvement of the protocol was established to strengthen the preventive organizational culture and ensure continuous improvement of working conditions. The developed protocol proved to be applicable and feasible for reducing accidents, enhancing operational safety in aviation hangars, and contributing to compliance with international standards in occupational health and safety.
