Abstract

The aim is to expose university management and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which serve as support to administer education in the 21st century society; relying on different authors (specialists) who consecrate the importance of ICT as a knowledge tool in the context of management, specifically at the level of university education, giving way to the affirmation that in Venezuela the type of university management is characterized by "giving less importance to managerial renewal and more relevance to control and evaluation". Subsequently, the author's interest in offering a series of proposals aimed at the profile of the university manager is appreciated, with emphasis on the use and management of ICT as a tool to generate knowledge, with sufficient theoretical support, ranging from technology, Information and Communication Technologies and universities as socio-technical systems.
