Abstract

The purpose of this article is to take a thoughtful journey through strategic management and the importance of technology as a transforming paradigm in the construction of new digital management models. For this, the article, through a documentary study, starts from the strategic direction and importance of technology as a variable, then makes a tour of virtuality and digitality as emerging epistemic positions of technological transformations that redefine the practice of society and its organizations in contemporary times. Finally, digital management is described as an emerging category, product of the hybridization between strategic management and digitality within the framework of organizations, followed by conclusive reflections referring to the aforementioned points.
