Abstract

This This investigation is framed in the violation of Human Rights of International Humanitarian Law. The armed conflict in Colombia has been developing since the early 1960s due to the confrontation of illegal groups against the state. This conflict is known for its manifestations of violence and for the serious consequences it has caused in the social and cultural development of its population. The armed conflict in Colombia has transpired through negotiations with the armed groups and the construction of peace and well-being of its people. According to statistics, Colombia is the second country with the most internally displaced persons. Kidnapping and homicide are the crimes that associated with the Colombian conflict have marked the present and the future of a society. The FARC, the ELN and other terrorist groups have maintained this fight against the government for more than 50 years. That is how it was born. Plan Colombia adopts the American position regarding the phenomenon of drug trafficking and takes a preferential option to combat supply and, in particular, crops. of illicit use, abstracting from the global nature and international responsibilities in this problem and making internally the responsibilities of the traditional political and economic class in its development. The type of investigation is documentary, bibliographic design, descriptive level, whose general objective is to analyze the Armed Conflict in Colombia Bibliographic and journalistic sources were consulted as antecedents related to the investigation, as well as theoretical bases: Causes of the Armed Conflict in Colombia, Migrations, displacement and refuge in Colombia, among others
